A beautiful day in the neighborhood

It was rainy the past few days, and earlier today it was uncommonly windy. Now, however, it's relatively calm, and the sky is clear. The view from my roof is gorgeous.

Today, whilst hurrying down Amsterdam to meet someone, for I was characteristically running late, I saw that guy, which was way weird. I didn't say hello to him, though. It didn't seem necessary.

Speaking of coincidences, I recently was lost in Grand Central Station. I needed to find a particular street, and so I asked a man walking the opposite direction from me on a ramp for help. He told me which way to go, and upon hearing him speak, I asked, "Are you from Texas, by any chance?" It turns out he, too, moved to New York about a year ago from Dallas, and he also lives on the Upper West Side. We've spoken since. It's good to hear the accent. What a strange world this is.
