Happy winter

Greetings, Rock and Roll Grammarian reader.

Much has changed in the months since I last checked in here.

  • SGF and I are planning an exciting adventure together. The kick-off party is in April.
  • I've traded my job on Wall Street for a joblet in midtown.
  • The vision in my right eye has mysteriously improved from a prescription of -2.75 to -1.5. No doctor I've seen about this can offer me an explanation.
  • In utter defiance of countless hairdressers, I got bangs. They're not bad.

On the other hand, much has remained the same.

  • Simon is still a good boy.
  • I still miss Battlestar Galactica.
  • A snowy weekend night is still one of life's great pleasures.
  • I am still powerless before a freshly baked Harvey Wallbanger cake.
  • The following clips are still among the funniest scenes in cinematic history:

The manner in which Aykroyd patiently, almost lovingly extracts the salmon from his beard gets me every time.
