I am the cosmos

Today I saw Cosmic Collisions at a planetarium. It was unbearably cool.

I could write about one takeaway -- that even violent collisions have worth -- but I'll spare all of us.

Instead, I'm thinking about the end of the show, wherein one Robert Redford tells us that billions and billions of years from now, the galaxies and solar systems will still be swirling around each other, maybe not colliding, but dancing so close that new relationships between particles will form.

Long after I'm dead, matter and life will continue. I like this thought.
