Clarification

OK, so clearly I have not abandoned my blog, but I very seriously considered doing so. Then again, most things one abandons one can reclaim.

That line from There Will Be Blood used to make me giggle in a way that made me feel significantly younger than I am. This was before I'd seen the movie, or even the trailer. Now it just isn't as funny.

The other day I noticed the flowers were blooming outside the subway station I sometimes walk home from. I had an unusual reaction. You know that scene in Raising Arizona where Leonard Smalls is tearing down the highway, so full of bile that he lobs a grenade at a little bunny rabbit? Yeah, that was me that day. It's probably for the best that I had no matches on me, and that a can of accelerant wouldn't fit in my purse. I imagine I'd have later regretted destroying something so beautiful.
