Aw, shucks
I've been mildly obsessed with traffic stats since I started this blog. Search terms, reader retention rates, global reach -- all of it fascinates me. I now have a job that makes good use of my addiction to data. Omniture, I adore thee.
Anyway, until recently I only had an estimate of Rock and Roll Grammarian's readership based on how many people visit the site directly (as in typing in the URL, clicking on a different page that links to me, or clicking on a bookmark). It pleased me that the number, though tiny compared with that of popular blogs, has steadily grown over the last few years. Thanks, guys.
But I had a sneaking suspicion there might be more of you out there than Site Meter suggests, so I did some research and found a way to measure how many people subscribe to my RSS feed. It turns out it's kind of a lot! I'm flattered. Anyway, for those of you worried about anonymity in addition to convenience, fear not: I don't know who or where you are, just that you're out there.
Anywhoodle, Rock and Roll Grammarian thanks you. Please come again.
