I was just Googling the lyrics of Vampire Weekend's "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance," and among the first hits was an entry by beloved friend, superb journalist and Rock and Roll Grammarian reader Joshua. Hi Josh! How's the weather up there?

These guys make me happy. They're almost a little too self-aware, but they make fun music -- something this world needs a lot more of.

Also fun: Seeing that your friend in a different state has just listened to a song you heard mere minutes ago. I don't know why that's so cool to me, but it is.
