Squashing Giants

Awhile back, craving the company of like-minded people, I joined the Dallas Cowboys' NYC Harcore Fans group on Meetup.com.

"But Grammarian," you might say, "You don't even fully understand football." To which I would respond, "Point taken."

My relative ignorance about the sport doesn't matter too much in this case, actually, for the group has plenty of good-spirited folks who are willing to 'splain things if I ask. Hell, the Cowboys have played so well this year, it's entirely possible they'd give me a kidney if I asked nicely.

Anyhow, a couple of days ago my former paper ran a story on our group in advance of the Cowboys/Giants game this Sunday, which I learned from the handsome bloke in the photo. It's well worth a read.
