Weekend roundup

So, it's after 5 a.m., and I can hear at least one bird chirping. My fellow insomniacs probably understand how utterly depressing this fact is to me.

I've been a terrible blogger of late, and I had hoped to make up for all the half-assed postings of the last several weeks with one huge, thoughtful and impressive blog. However, it's late, and I'm both too tired and too lazy to post anything in narrative form. Instead, I will give you a bulleted and almost entirely random list of things I did on my four-day weekend:

  • I joined a gym. Well, I signed up for a free 10-day pass at a gym and have worked out there twice(!) in the last four days. This, I feel, is progress worth celebrating by ...
  • Eating half of the most enormous burrito I have ever laid eyes on.
  • I have now downloaded nearly all of the episodes of The Office -- and watched each one at least twice. I am a woman obsessed.
  • Battlestar Galactica. Two words: Frack yeah. I can't wait to see what happens next week. What are these "dark times" Sharon predicts? I don't know! I suspect Baltar will win the election and/or we'll lose a semi-important character in the finale. Also, I tried to create a group on Myspace.com for Battlestar Galactica fans in the Dallas area, but the frigging site assed up on me. Please be on the lookout for Dallas Galacticon (I hope you members of the DMN Galacticon will join).
  • Got my car serviced. That was ... time-consuming.
  • Saw a kick-ass sunset. Really, it was gorgeous.
  • I seriously considered purchasing a desk for my shiny new computer but didn't make it to the store. So for now, said computer is sitting on my ancient coffee table. I've moved my loveseat to the middle of the room, so now both television and computer screen are within a comfortable distance. Not the most aesthetically pleasing arrangement, but it will have to do for now.

And that is all I have to report.
