I've got sunshine

What a glorious day it was. If you live in Dallas and have never been to the Arboretum, I highly suggest you do so. Immediately if not sooner. And if you can go with someone who knows his plants and (look away, JamKat) birds, the more the better (for me, at any rate). And if he has a warm smile and easy laugh, that's even better, though one could probably have a great time there alone. In fact, I may have to plan a solo excursion in the near future before it gets too hot.

Seriously, guys, what a day! What a perfect, gorgeous, sunny day. I hereby declare that May Day should be renamed Arboretum Day. So sayeth the Grammarian.

Only one thing happened to blemish this day of light and goodness, and it's a serious something. Someone I don't know well (at all, really, outside this strange blogosphere) lost a family member. Her cat died with little warning and despite a lot of effort, warm thoughts and prayers. This person is grieving. If you can, please send some positive energy toward Puff-Puff's mom, and give your pets an extra hug.
