Little bunny non-trad hopping cross the campus

Hello, I'm Samantha, and I'm a plantaholic.

I went to my first-ever plant sale today and bought three (3) plants. My bookcase never looked so cheery. I've been assured by a knowledgeable source that the species I chose is impossible to kill, so there's one more thing to be happy about. Since I'll be in the area anyway, I may go back tomorrow and buy something for my desk at work.

People say spring is a time of hope and renewal. This always seemed like a nice notion to me, but I've never really experienced spring fever until now. It's like it's lain dormant in my dorsal root ganglia lo these 28 years, and now that the conditions are right, it's hitting me full force. Not that I mind. Even though I'm sleep-deprived and stressed about finals, I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl.

By the way, I think my iPod's psychic. On the drive home, smile plastered on my face, I rolled down all the windows and hit shuffle. Every song matched my mood! "Angel of the Morning" (Pretenders version), "Scent of Lime" by the Long Winters, "Souvenir" by the great Richard Carl Buckner, "No More Lonely Nights" by Paul McCartney (no laughing, please). Even my iPod's conspiring to encourage this strange, aching happiness that's got Rock and Roll Grammarian in its brawny clutches.

My eyelids are heavy, readers, but my heart is light.
