A few dozen protesters showed up for the seal rally. I met several nice, engaging people, including a delightful woman named Diane, who's involved with this operation. If you're interested in adopting a Persian cat in the near future, she'll hook you up.

Now, on a completely different note, I'm soliciting suggestions for day trips. It's my spring break, both from school and from work, and I want to get the hell out of here, even if just for a few hours. Do you recommend any particular spots for hiking or other outdoor activities? I know the weather's a little chilly right now, but deep down I'm an optimist.
