If you're sappy and you know it ...
I don't really feel up to writing anything too focused or cohesive. Instead, I'd like to present the following thoughts, observations and public service announcements:
1) Today I discovered that Rock and Roll Grammarian has made it onto Google's radar. I'm most irrationally excited about this.
2) The axiom "there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers" is patently false. In lab this week I expressed befuddlement upon finding no mobile critters on a slide I thought contained living protists. My instructor, David, took a look at the slide and informed me that could be because I was looking at onion cells. Despite his remark's good-naturedness, I felt unbearably silly. The moral of the story: Get the basic information before enlisting outside help.
3) Why do men so often resist giving women flowers? Has feminism bred a generation of timid and/or lazy adults? What some people consider cliche, I consider a nearly universal truth. Most women, if not all of us, greatly appreciate the gesture. I don't care if you buy them, pick them or draw a picture: Just get her the flowers already. And please don't make her have to ask.
4) Tell your friends you love them. Do this often. You never know what kind of day they might be having.
5) Remember: Although one can indeed dry a garment in the microwave, one can also burn a garment in the microwave.
